1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BilzCal (“the Service”), operated at www.bilzcal.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BilzCal is a calendar-based bill and money management platform that helps you track bills, income, and account balances. The Service may include:

• Bank account syncing via Plaid
• AI-powered email bill detection using Anthropic's Claude API
• Gmail integration for automated bill scanning
• Recurring transaction management
• Balance projections and financial overview

3. Account Registration

To use BilzCal, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscription and Billing

BilzCal offers subscription plans with a free trial period. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable subscription fee at the start of each billing cycle
• Automatic renewal of your subscription unless you cancel before the renewal date
• Provide valid payment information through our payment processor (Stripe)

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

5. AI-Powered Features — Disclosure

BilzCal uses artificial intelligence powered by Anthropic's Claude API to analyze email content and detect bill information. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI disclosure: Bill detection, amount extraction, and due date suggestions are generated by AI technology, not by human review
• No financial advice: AI-generated suggestions are for informational and organizational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or accounting advice
• Accuracy not guaranteed: AI may produce incorrect or incomplete results. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-detected bills before confirming them
• Human oversight: All AI-generated bill suggestions require your explicit confirmation before being added to your calendar

6. Gmail Integration

If you connect your Gmail account for bill scanning, you authorize BilzCal to access your email via the Gmail API in read-only mode. You understand that:

• BilzCal accesses only emails matching bill-detection patterns
• Your Gmail data is used solely to provide bill detection features and is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements
• Gmail data is not used for advertising, AI model training, or any purpose beyond providing the Service
• You may revoke Gmail access at any time through your account settings or your Google Account permissions

7. Bank Account Integration — Plaid

BilzCal uses Plaid Inc. to connect your bank accounts. By using the bank sync feature:

• You agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy and acknowledge that Plaid may collect and process your financial data as described therein
• Your bank credentials are handled by Plaid directly and are never stored on BilzCal's servers
• You authorize Plaid to retrieve your account balances and transaction history
• You may disconnect any linked account at any time

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account

9. Financial Data Disclaimer

BilzCal is a budgeting and bill-tracking tool. It is not a financial advisor, bank, or accounting service. The information displayed in the Service (including projected balances, AI-detected bill amounts, and transaction data) is for informational and organizational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of bank data, AI-detected bills, or balance projections. You should always verify financial information with your bank or financial institution.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and content, is owned by BilzCal and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any data you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide the Service.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms:

• Plaid — Bank account sync ( plaid.com/legal)

• Google — Authentication and Gmail API ( policies.google.com/terms)
• Anthropic — AI bill detection ( anthropic.com/legal)

We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party providers.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that may harm the Service or other users. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period
• Any outstanding subscription fees remain due through the end of the current billing period

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BilzCal and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, revenue, or profits
• Errors in financial data, balance projections, or AI-generated bill detection
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Unauthorized access to your account due to compromised credentials
• Actions taken based on AI-generated suggestions

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BilzCal and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the applicable courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
